Dr. David Rose
Dr. Rose grew up in West Tennessee. Medicine is his second career; after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Sewanee in 2001, he worked as an applied mathematician and cybersecurity consultant in the public and private sectors over the following decade. The highlight of his former job was the year he spent living and working in the United Arab Emirates, from 2009 through 2010. After deciding on a career change, Dr. Rose earned his medical degree from University of Virginia in 2017. From there, he completed residency in internal medicine at University of Michigan in 2020 and specialization in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Washington University in St. Louis (Barnes-Jewish Hospital) in 2023. He subsequently moved to Nashville and joined St. Thomas Medical Group in July, 2023.
Dr. Rose is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases. He enjoys seeing patients with all types of lung conditions and has particular interests in asthma and pulmonary hypertension. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and cooking with his wife, soccer, and amateur radio.
