Dr. Alicia Bowles joined STMG in 2026. She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended undergrad at Belmont studying biology with a pre-medical emphasis. She went on to obtain her doctorate of medicine at East Tennessee State University. Following this, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for her residency and fellowship training at the University of Utah and Intermountain Health in internal medicine and pulmonary & critical care. This included a chief residency year in quality improvement and patient safety with the veterans administration.

Dr. Bowles is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. She is board-eligible for critical care medicine. She is trained to care for a variety of pulmonary conditions including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, and lung nodules. She strives to provide a collaborative, personalized approach to patient care. Outside the hospital, Dr. Bowles enjoys traveling, camping, trail running, and spending time with her husband and Texas heeler.
