Anna Owings, D.O.
Dr. Anna H. Owings is originally from Franklin, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Owings went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency, serve as Chief Resident, and complete her Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. During fellowship, she was named Chief Gastroenterology Fellow and was selected for advanced training in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at the Mayo Clinic through the highly competitive Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Visiting IBD Program. Dr. Owings is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterological Association. She has a strong interest in academic medicine and research, having authored 22 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented over 53 abstracts at regional and national scientific conferences.
