Dr. Hodge was raised in the western North Carolina mountains between Boone and Blowing Rock. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Davidson College in 1980, graduating Magnum Cum Laude and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to earn his medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill in 1984. His residency and internship were served at Vanderbilt University until 1987 where he then served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine from 1987 to 1988. Dr. Hodge joined St. Thomas Medical Group in 2002.
Dr. Hodge’s special interests are in hypertension, heart disease, COPD, diabetes and geriatric care. He has a special interest in patient care in alcohol and drug addiction.
He enjoys time with his wife and their five children.
