John McRae, M.D.

Dr. John McRae is from Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1968 and Duke University School of Medicine in 1972. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Duke Hospital in 1975.

After serving in the US Army as an internist from 1975-1977, he completed fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Seattle, WA Hospital in 1979.

He was a member of the Diabetes Division, Department of Medicine,Vanderbilt Medical Center from 1981-1985 and is presently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt. Dr. McRae practices full time at our St. Thomas office. He sees patients Monday THROUGH Friday from 8:00 to 4:30 pm.

Dr. McRae is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Enter the campus from WEST END AVE and proceed past the Emergency Room, Admitting and the Heart Institute Parking. Enter the garage on the right, which reads “Parking for Doctor’s Appointments.” This garage is located under the Medical Plaza Building. If you need special help, proceed to the blue level of the garage. Wheelchairs are available. Proceed to plaza elevators, go to the 4th floor and follow signs to Suite 400.  Additional parking is located in the Harding Garage with a cross walk on the 3rd level.
