Kenneth Vargas M.D.
Dr. Vargas was born in New York City and spent his early years in Queens before moving to East Tennessee. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1990, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry, microbiology, and cell biology. He then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, completing his degree in 1994 and finishing a residency in internal medicine in 1997.
Afterward, Dr. Vargas relocated to Nashville to join The Green Hills Medical Clinic at Centennial Medical Center. The clinic later evolved into Sterling Primary Care, where he worked alongside six of the original partners for most of his career. He served as the senior partner until the clinic closed in 2024, after which he joined St. Thomas Medical Group.
Dr. Vargas is married and has two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys working on projects in his basement shop, tackling various home improvement tasks, listening to music, and attending live music events.
